» Ursula Franke has commented that this may be a hybrid of T.damarensis and T.rufirostris - see reference Delport et al (2004) Structure of an African Red-billed Hornbill (Tockus erythrorhynchus rufirostris and T.e.damarensis) hybrid zone as revealed by morphology, behavior and breeding biology. The Auk 121(2) pp 565-586.
