The Malimbus website provides free of charge the full text of papers, notes, reports and reviews about the birds of this country that have appeared in the journal prior to the last three years. There are at least ten such articles for most West African countries, and as many as 90 for some. For more recent articles, you can find summaries and abstracts on the site.
The Gola Forest Programme, Sierra Leone, has established a website at www.golarainforest.org. The aim of the Gola Forest Programme is to protect the 75,000 hectare Gola Forest in perpetuity through effective management, sustained funding and ongoing benefits for local communities. It is Sierra Leone’s most ambitious conservation programme. Since 1990 the Government of Sierra Leone, Conservation Society of Sierra Leone and the RSPB have collaborated in a robust partnership to protect the Gola Forest.
